Karen Bass is now officially the first black African-American female mayor for the city of Los Angeles. This historic event represents a new change in leadership as Los Angeles moves into 2023 with the primary goal of tackling homelessness. These and other important goals were discussed by Ms. Bass during her interview with KBLA's own, Dominique Diprima.
KBLA’s founder Tavis Smiley was among the dignitaries present at a curated socially conscious community event the day before the Mayor's inauguration that brought L.A. supporters out to welcome Ms. Bass home.
